Behind The Scenes Of My First Year As A Six-Figure Coach And Speaker

I am super excited because this is the 100 episode of the show. I created this show in 2021 with the intention of illustrating stories and journeys of reinvention of people who are pursuing their dreams and chose on conventional route. The whole purpose is to empower you to live your dreams and empower you to know that you are unlimited. You can do anything that you put your mind and heart into.

It is also a very vulnerable episode because I want to celebrate this big milestone by giving you a lot of amazing experiences and information about my first year as a six-figure coach and speaker. I hit a major milestone of having my first six-figure year as a business owner. I wanted to share with you the behind-the-scenes, highlights, challenges, highs, and lows because my story is an example of what you can do.

I truly believe that if one person achieves anything, that is evidence that you can do it too, whatever your dream might be. Maybe it's not becoming a coach, speaker, or entrepreneur. Maybe it's speaking up, overcoming Imposter syndrome, and finally believing in yourself or keeping those promises to yourself. Whatever that is, I want this episode to inspire you.

I left my nine years of corporate career back in 2021. In this corporate career, I had amazing benefits. I worked with amazing people on very interesting consulting projects. I truly loved what I was doing. I had a wonderful salary of $160,000. When I transitioned from corporate to entrepreneurship voluntarily, it was scary. When I made this decision, I made it not because I hated where I was but because I had a bigger aspiration since 2012 to become a full-time coach and speaker.

I wanted to help people through the biggest challenge that I faced in the first year of my corporate career. Gaining clarity on who they were, gaining clarity on their purpose and dreams, achieving the confidence to make those dreams happen, and also tapping into the courage to go after the things they are afraid of doing. Growth often feels unsafe. Why? It’s because there is uncertainty in the process but that uncertainty is the only place where we can create the life we deserve to live.

Growth often feels unsafe because there is uncertainty in the process, but that uncertainty is the only place where we can create the life we deserve to live.

I wanted to inspire people to make their dreams a reality. Years ago, I was a full-time coach and speaker, and this being my career was my dream. When I first dreamt of that, it felt impossible. It felt like, “How the heck am I going to get there?” I don't have any idea. I don't know anyone who has made it. None of my family are entrepreneurs. My mom had a maximum salary of $12,000.

My journey has truly been a journey of reinvention and learning through challenges and lows. I quit my job in 2021. It took me 2.5 years to hit the 6 figures. The journey of getting there was so many challenges. There were so many times when I doubted myself and I was like, “Should I go back to corporate and have my certain six-figure salary?”

The journey of entrepreneurship is a very vulnerable one. I call entrepreneurship the PhD of personal development because as you continue growing in this area, you are going to hit every single limiting belief and doubt about yourself. It doesn't matter how much work you have done on yourself. I have been doing work on myself since 2012.

Every time we up level to a new height, we are going to face similar fears and challenges. The cool thing is that if you have done the work, you have the tools to ride the waves of life. The whole purpose of life is not to expect the waves to disappear because challenges and problems are the things that make you evolve and allow you to learn the lessons of life. The important part is to work on getting the tools and skills, and mindset is the foundation of all of it.

If you have the mindset, you can do anything. If you have all the strategy in the world and all the information but you don't have the mindset, you are not going to follow through. If you have the mindset and you don't have the strategy of getting there or the information, you are going to figure anything out. You are going to tap into the resourcefulness to figure out the strategy. Mindset is the foundation and the one thing that we have to continuously work on.

Many times, we put so much focus on the external pieces of our journey. Everything stems from the inside. Your environment, results, and achievements are an extension of your mind. It's important to work on your mind. I'm going to go through the mindset challenges that I had to overcome and everything else. I'm going to be super transparent and vulnerable so this episode is going to be powerful.

I didn't mention it but I'm doing this episode from Cancún. I have been meaning to do this episode but I have been mega busy with work, my business, and life. I traveled to Cancún because I started an advanced meditation retreat with Dr. Joe Dispenza. I'm a huge fan of his work and I cannot wait for this event to happen but first, I wanted to make sure you had all of this amazing information. I'm doing my first episode from another country. It's fun. I have my phone and AirPods. We are making it happen. I hope the sound quality and everything else is great for you. If not, please forgive me.

When I left my career, I made that decision not because I hated my job. I had a bigger aspiration to move towards. When I left, I told my husband, “I don't want my coaching business to be a hobby or something small. I wanted to beat my career. I want to dedicate my life to this and serve the world from a heart-driven place.” A business is a business. The financial piece is super important. Why? You have to pay your bills. If you want to go on vacation, you have to go on vacation.

Not only that but part of what I'm doing through this journey is giving hope to people that they can make money from doing what they love. That's a major limiting belief. Many people don't believe they can do it. I have met so many people who have done it. I'm doing it. If we have done it, you can do it too. I never want that to be a doubt in your mind. Financially abundance is super important and that's why I'm sharing this journey of my first six figures year.

I hit my first $100,000 in October 2023. I want to show my clients and community the possibility of you doing the same thing whatever your dream is. At the beginning of 2023, I had this ambitious goal of making my first six figures. I was so scared. I was like, “Can I do it? Is that even possible for me?” I don't know because I have never experienced it. At the same time, I was so excited to get there. I have this super strong belief that your revenue in business is a reflection of how much value you are adding.

Your revenue business is a reflection of how much value you are adding.

If you want your revenue to increase, you have to ramp up how you are adding value to your people and community. It's so interesting. I made a post on social media back in October 2023 when I hit my first $100,000. Honestly, before making the post, I felt so much resistance because you are disclosing, “I have made six figures.” It's so vulnerable, at least for me.

I didn't want to sound arrogant or cocky because I was sharing my achievement, and then I realized that I was deeming my light so others could feel better when I can make my light even more brilliant so I can inspire others to pursue their light. I had to remind myself also that I coach my clients on celebrating their wins so I needed to do the same. I needed to show with integrity.

I always say that my coaching clients are my biggest accountability partners because as a coach, integrity is one of my super strong values. When I coach my clients, I have to show up with the same level of commitment and integrity. It's super important. I have worked with a couple of coaches. I love my coaches. Coaching is life-changing. That's why I do it too.

My coaches also reminded me that this post about the six figures was about giving hope to others and allowing them to see the possibility that if it was true for me, it was true for them too. I went ahead and even though I was delaying it, I did it and I had an amazing response. The whole purpose was truly to inspire others to go after what they think is unrealistic.

We have created a society. We have been hypnotized to follow instead of lead. Most people are accepting their lives instead of creating their lives. I hope this episode or any of the content I create, any of my emails, or any of my free workshops inspires you to step back and stop following what everyone is doing and what society tells you to do. Start creating the life you truly believe in. It’s so important.

In this episode, I want to take you through the behind-the-scenes journey of achieving these major business milestones. I will talk to you about the highlights and challenges. If you have any questions, message me on Instagram and LinkedIn. Someone was asking, “What were the mindset shifts that you needed to do to get to this goal? What are the things you had to overcome?” I'm going to cover all of that so be ready for these wild rides. I'm so excited to share with you from Cancún. I'm getting scrappy here. I usually have my Yeti microphone but I’m with my phone and AirPods. I'm like, “I need to make this episode happen whatever it takes.” I'm here showing up imperfectly.

Reprogramming Your Mind

There is a framework that I coach my clients through so they can create sustainable change and empowerment, and it's called RISE. I'm going to discuss my challenges and highlights on my journey of getting to my first six figures through this framework because it's going to be super helpful. R is for Reprogramming your mind, mainly your subconscious mind. Ninety-five percent of how you are feeling, thinking, and behaving, and the results that you are getting are driven by this autopilot program that keeps running one day after the other.

Identity Alignment

It is so important. That's why I have studied the mind and especially the subconscious mind for the last several years of my life because I can recognize it. I help my clients to do this daily. If you hack the programming of your subconscious mind, you can start achieving your results consistently. R is for Reprogramming your subconscious mind. I is for Identity alignment. Why? To achieve results you have never achieved, as Joe Dispenza says, “You have to break the habit of being your old self. You have to become a new identity of how you feel, think, and act.”

Service-Oriented And Resilient Action

S from RISE is Service-oriented and resilient action. If you truly want to add value to the world and you want to create a business where your revenue matches the value, you have to start operating more from the heart and less for the ego. It is so hard at times because mainly when you have this business, and even in my corporate career, I can relate the same concept to it, there is so much attachment to the outcome.

Elevated Focus

This is your baby. This is like, “I want this thing to happen. I want people to add value and join my workshop.” Naturally, there is an attachment to the outcome but the more you grow, the more you have to work on releasing that attachment. That is super important. The E in RISE is Elevated focus on what you want. This sounds simple but it's not because subconsciously we are programmed to focus on what we don't want.

I see it with my clients and my community all the time. I ask people, for example, “Why do you want a partner?” “It’s because I don't want to be alone anymore.” “That's what you don't want. You never told me what you wanted.” “Why do you want to create my business?” “It’s because I don't want to be in my job anymore.” “That's what you don't want. Why do you want it?”

As a society, we are programmed to live in this survival mode of focusing on what we don't want over and over. Part of this work is to start creating your reality and start focusing on what you want, which may sound simple but it requires lots of practice. That is something I work with my clients and myself consistently. We are like an onion. You peel one layer and there is another one. The whole purpose is for you to get the tools, skills, and mindset to work through the layers of the onion.

The outcome is never for the layers to disappear. The challenges are going to be there. You have to equip yourself and master yourself to achieve your desired outcome. That's why my brand as a coach is a self-mastery coach because whenever you master yourself, you master your life and you get the desires and the results you are seeking. It's about yourself, not about changing your environment. I need to do an episode about that because I repeated it over and over. It's so important for you to live a fulfilling, abundant, and joyful life.

I hope you are ready because we are going to start again. I'm going to cover the journey of how I got to my six-figure milestone. I'm going to talk about the challenges and the lows. I'm going to do it through my RISE framework. Let's start with R. This is the framework I coach my clients through. R is for Reprogramming your subconscious mind and autopilot, the thing that is running in the background that is responsible for getting you the results. To get different results, you have to reprogram that autopilot, which is your subconscious mind.

Making six figures in business, meaning $100,000 plus in business in 1 year was unknown to me. I hadn't done it ever before. I didn't know what it took to get there or how it was going to unfold. This was a goal I had never achieved in my life. I knew that if I wanted to achieve something I hadn't done before, I needed to change who I was and the way I felt, thought, and behaved in many ways. I needed to start choosing differently.

To get different results, you need to start doing things differently. The same feelings, thoughts, and behaviors will lead you to the same results. You have to break that pattern and create a new one. I have been studying the mind for the last several years and I knew this was the foundation for creating change and achieving that goal.

During this journey of 2023 of achieving this goal, I encountered many challenges. I remember at the beginning of 2023, I had completed this ten-day silent meditation retreat. It's called Vipassana. It's amazing but it's very intense. We meditate silently sitting ten hours a day. You don’t check your phone, write, or read. It's all about connecting to yourself. Ten hours a day, as you can imagine, is intense.

During this retreat, I realized that I was still grieving the family, my grandmother and my uncle, whom I had lost. My family is super small. I also had a miscarriage and I have an episode about this miscarriage because it was such a challenging but healing journey. We need to talk more about this vulnerability. I transitioned from corporate entrepreneurship, which was the loss of an identity. There is grieving involved in this process too.

During this retreat, you are in silence for ten days. You don't talk to anyone almost. You can ask questions to a teacher but it's restrained to one hour a day. During these ten days, I realized that I was still grieving all the losses and transitions. It was very healing for me to see those dark spots that I needed to allow some light to flow into and continue healing.

I remember after that retreat that I still kept grieving. The first few months of 2023 were one of the darkest months, even though business was doing amazing. Revenue was like I had never had before. I was grieving so much. I had this deep sense of loss and sadness within myself. I'm being vulnerable here. I kept working through it and applying everything that I knew while also creating space for this healing and grieving to happen.

At that moment, financially I was doing pretty well in my business but personally, in that sense, I was feeling pretty down. Something happened during this moment in my year that it was like a kick. I was on the floor and a situation happened where I felt like someone kicked me even harder. This situation happened with someone relatively close to me. It seems like my journey from corporate to entrepreneurship has triggered that person.

There was a moment when we were meeting casually. I didn't know this was coming but this person randomly started saying, “What are you doing with your business? You are not making any money.” This person doesn't have visibility into my finances. I was like, “This doesn't even make sense.” “No one likes your post on Instagram. You are failing.” I was like, “What is going on?”

Remember, at this time of my life, I was just on the floor. This is not something that I was in social media like, “I'm here so sad.” There are some things that I heal in the background because there are a lot of personal and private things. Being in private allows you to heal in your timing, at least that's my perspective, but I had this moment. I was already struggling emotionally. It was an intense moment.

With this person, I ended up walking away from the conversation. I didn't have the energy to argue but I knew that arguing wasn't going to allow me to go to any place. At the same time, I felt so much compassion for this person because he has three very young kids. I felt so bad. I was like, “He's trying to kill my dream,” not with ill intent but he believes that going to corporate is better, genuinely, and I respect that.

It's a way to kill a dream, to be honest with you, imposing your belief system on someone else. I felt so bad because he had three kids. In my mind, I'm like, “I hope he doesn't do this to his kids because they are going to grow up feeling that they cannot dream and that they have to be realistic or practical,” which doesn't make any sense because who defines realistic and practical?

This challenge gave me the strength and courage to continue believing in my dream and even putting in more effort because I wanted to inspire future generations to believe in themselves. Do not believe in anyone else. I'm worried they have never done what you are trying to do. You have to believe in yourself. Even though this was a kick on the floor, this was the kick that I needed to get back up and continue inspiring people and empowering people and myself.

I wanted to share that because sometimes in social media, we see the highlights and everything is going amazing like, “I achieved the six figures.” “She's doing so well,” but behind it doing so well, there are so many challenges. I did share this challenge in a live on Instagram when it happened because I thought it was so important to create awareness of people who impose their limiting beliefs on other people.

Even at this moment, I started thinking, “It is so important that we give ourselves permission to dream.” I see it with my clients all the time. There is an exercise that we do after the breakthrough session. The breakthrough session is when we release all the limiting beliefs, negative emotions, and baggage at the subconscious level that is preventing us from achieving the results. After the breakthrough session, we start creating their compelling future.

Mental and emotional release is a highly effective and preventive technique to allow you to release baggage, limiting beliefs, and negative emotions.

There is an exercise that I ask my clients, “I want you to give yourself permission to dream for the first time, probably in a long time.” In the beginning, it's hard for them and they experience certain resistance but once they tap into this mindset of creating, the future they deserve instead of living in the past all the time, they start experiencing this healing hope that allows them to be consistent when they start showing up for their goals.

That was a very rough patch but that rough patch gave me even more purpose and momentum. Even during that moment, I asked myself, “What did this event trigger in me? What limiting beliefs and emotions did this event trigger in me?” I doubted myself for a second there. I also asked myself, “What is preventing me from feeling, thinking, and behaving like a six-figure business owner?” I listed my limiting beliefs and negative emotions.

Some of these included that I'm not capable of. I don't know anyone close to me that has done it. Is this even possible? I'm afraid of being successful or shining bright. I'm afraid of failure too, and then what will people think of me? I even had that thought before posting about my six figures. Deep within us, we want to please people in some way but that is a pattern that you have to counter over and over. Now, I don't have intensity over it but sometimes there are so many momentums in narratives that we have repeated over the years that we got a continuous work on making the unconscious conscious and continue showing up from a place of empowerment and courage.

I listed all of these and then I used a technique that I use with my coaching clients called mental and emotional release, which is a highly effective and proven technique. It allows you to release the baggage, limiting beliefs, and negative emotions. This is a neurolinguistic programming technique that I became certified in 2019. I have been doing it for a while and it's highly effective. I had this interaction and tension with this person so I did forgiveness. Forgiveness is also part of the release process.

After releasing all of those limiting beliefs and negative emotions with this technique, everything started to shift at that moment mentally and emotionally. I tapped into this courage and strength to keep creating the life that I believe in so I can inspire others. My clients can tell you that their life starts changing after the breakthrough session because the baggage that was not allowing them to see is gone and they can create a reality from a perspective of moving towards their aspirations. It is super powerful.

In the process of releasing and reprogramming my subconscious mind, I also believe in building your village because it's so important that we have this group of people who support us. I believe in coaching. I'm a coach. One-on-one coaching is highly transformational. During this time, I also hired a one-on-one coach. She's amazing. I hired my second one not long ago too.

When you have goals, one-on-one coaches are the most effective way for you to achieve what you want to achieve. It's having the best fun and accountability partner on your side, allowing you to see the blind spots and tap into that inner resourcefulness within you even when you cannot see it yourself. I hired a one-on-one coach who helped me identify my blind spots and what was preventing me from continuing to achieve this goal.

Everything that I'm sharing with you here was needle movers for me to get to six figures. In 2023, I have spent a lot on one-on-one coaches and group coaching programs because it's that important. Back in 2014, that was the first time in my corporate career that I started investing in myself. I always say that that's the best decision I have ever made because it changed my life. Every year, I invest in coaches, consultants, and live training.

I attribute a lot of my success and progress to investing in myself. In 2023, I spent more than $30,000 on coaching because it's that valuable. Even my first coach, I paid her double what I asked my clients because I wanted to get into that energy of raising my prices and truly operating in integrity with the belief that one-on-one coaching is transformational. Integrity is super important to me. I have seen in my journey that one-on-one coaching is transformational.

Every time that I have invested in myself, the return has far surpassed the investment. I have this belief that if I invest in myself based on my historical data, I'm going to get a return no matter what. The important part is that I always show up and take action. There hasn't been a single coach consultant program training that I have invested in and taken action that I haven't received the return. Every time I invest, I put the intention and I know it will be worth it every single time. That's the first piece of releasing everything that was preventing me from achieving my goals.

The second piece, which is I from RISE, is Identity alignment. When you are achieving a new goal, something you have never achieved before, you have to step into the identity of you already having achieved that thing. I had to ask myself, “When I'm a six-figure business owner, how would I show up? How would I feel and think? How abundant would I behave?” Also, something that I do with my coaching clients is creating their long-term direction, purpose, and why. I created mine years ago but every year, I revisited to update anything that may be in more alignment with my new vision and goals.

I revisited my long-term direction and purpose. This is important because most people who don't follow through with their goals or try to take action on their goals but are not getting the results don't have a long-term direction. I do have a specific framework that we follow and it is highly transformational. Long-term direction or purpose is going to allow you to create momentum in moments when you want to give up.

Long-term direction is super important because that's your identity and vision. Based on that vision, I always ask myself, “What are the one-year goals that I can achieve this year that are going to get me closer to the long-term direction?” One of them, which was the outcome, was a six-figure business, which I was able to do. I do have a framework for goal setting and following it through with your highly effective goals.

Talking about that, I want you to know that I have a free upcoming workshop about this same topic. It's called Make Your 2024 Goals INEVITABLE. They are going to happen if you follow this framework. Break free from self-sabotage and follow through with at least 90% of your goals, which is a very high completion rate. That is the evidence that I have from myself and my clients. Unlock your best year yet.

If you want 2024 to be the year that you finally follow through with your goals, keep the promises to yourself, understand what has been keeping you from taking action, and understand what is the right way to set goals that will ensure you follow through with them, this is a workshop for you and it's free. Reserve your spot. I cannot wait to see you there. If you have attended one of my workshops before, you know that they are packed with amazing content, real-life examples, and great engagement from our community. Come. It's on January 11th, 2024 at 6:00 PM Central, 4:00 PM Pacific, and 7:00 PM Eastern time. I cannot wait to see you there.

That was one of the things in creating this long-term direction and creating goals that align with the long-term direction. It’s super important. That's what you are going to learn in the free workshop with so many other things. In terms of identity alignment, investing in myself. Let me tell you something. Investing in yourself is scary every time. I have been doing this since 2014.

Every time I'm going to make a big investment, which is most of the things I have invested in 2023, like thousands and thousands of dollars, I still get scared but I know how it feels to invest in yourself. It's always scary because there is uncertainty, trust, and vulnerability in the process. Knowing that pattern, I know that it's in my mind. I go ahead and make the decision anyway. It hasn't failed me.

Investing in yourself as you grow in your business, corporate career, or life needs to be a must for you to grow. There are so many things you don't know about yourself yet that other people can guide you to tap into the resources that you have already within you. Talking about identity, I needed to strengthen my belief in myself. This came with the decision to increase my one-on-one coaching prices.

I have been coaching for a while as a business in 2020. I knew I was undercharging because other coaches and people from my community had told me who were in the industry. I always had this little fear of like, “What if I raise my prices? That's scary. What will people think? Will I get clients,” all the natural fears that come with making decisions. I decided to go ahead and raise my prices.

My coach was super supportive. I needed to release everything that was preventing me from believing that I was worth it and that the results I had gotten from my clients were worth it. I also asked a couple of my past clients and I asked them, “How much value would you give this coaching that I gave you? How much more would you have paid?” They told me an even bigger price than the one I'm charging, which is amazing. In 2024, I will increase my price again because I have been seeing high demand.

Business comes with those decisions of adopting identity and knowing your services, results, and transformation on how worth are they. I had to think to myself, “How would a six-figure years business owner feel, think, and act?” As I was adopting this identity, I needed to work even more on releasing attachment to the outcome and embracing flow instead of force. Also, recognizing that not every client was the right client. That's also what I mean by releasing attachment to the outcome.

In 2023, I was very selective with my clients. I have clients who are highly committed to the results and take consistent action. They show up with open minds and open hearts. For me, that was important to screen the people that I wanted to work with because as a coach, money is the main driver. I would have stayed in corporate if it was because of money, even though I'm going to get beyond that.

In the beginning, it's a sacrifice, to be honest with you, like any business owner. For me, ensuring the success of my clients through coaching is super important. Working with the right clients ensures the success of the process and my clients. For me, that is the number one priority. I committed to the identity of a six-figure business owner. I knew that if I wanted to get there, I needed to add even more value.

Ensuring the success of your clients through coaching is super important. Working with the right clients and sharing the success of the process and clients is the number one priority.

The identity of a six-figure business owner is authenticity and vulnerability. This topic is so important. I needed to transition out of the corporate mindset of showing up as being polished and having my stuff together all the time. It's not a bad thing. That's how they operate in corporate. Even in corporate, I was super authentic. You wouldn't have the idea of the things I would do. I would talk about spirituality and all of these things.

When you become a business owner, authenticity and vulnerability are your strengths. Showing up without the mask or unfiltered is even more important than in the corporate world. I needed to work through that by sharing more vulnerable stories and things about myself so I could empower my community and audience to grow and believe in themselves.

We are covering the framework of RISE and S the next thing, Service-oriented and resilient action. I needed to transition to creating even more value than I was creating before, helping even more people. I do that through my one-on-one coaching practice but I wanted to do that through free training. That's when I started to create quarterly free training. There’s a lot of effort on my end but that effort translated into a lot of value for the people that attend my free workshops.

If you have attended, I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from all of you so I will continue doing that. In the process of creating more content and value, I also decided to rebrand my business. I wanted to adopt the identity of someone who was embracing and embodying the values of the business even more. I also had a couple of corporate paid speaking engagements.

To be clear, 90% of my revenue in 2023 of the $100,000 plus was from private one-on-one coaching, which is mind-blowing. With corporate gigs, it's way faster to get to a bigger number because you have one job and it's thousands and thousands of dollars but what I have achieved here is private one-on-one coaching and 10% corporate paid speaking engagements.

In the process of serving, it was important to set my ego aside and lead more with my heart. When I coach my clients on this, this is what I call the self versus serve mindset. Self is when you are focused too much on how you look and sound. It's all about you. This can happen with speaking engagements and social media every time you show vulnerability. Serve is more about leading with your heart. “I'm here to serve people and add value. It's not about me. It's about them.” I needed to embrace even more of that identity.

In the process of entrepreneurship, experimentation is super important to continue serving. I needed to analyze my data and start getting more curious. “What are the things people are enjoying? Let's do more of that.” Experimenting and staying flexible in the journey is super important. Let's go with the E for RISE. The E is Elevated focus on what you want. This sounds simple but it's not because it requires a lot of practice of focusing on what you want over and over. Subconsciously, we are programmed to do the opposite.

When you focus on what you want, it's so important because when you experience challenges, it is natural to focus on the negative. Having that long-term direction that I talked about serves as an anchor for you to continue focusing on that vision that you have set for yourself. Surrounding yourself was key for me given the story that I provided before of someone who didn't believe in what I was doing at all. Surround yourself with the people who believe in you with the community or the coaches.

Sometimes I believe more in my clients than they believe in themselves and it's normal. I encounter the same thing with my coach. When I hired my coach, it was probably June of 2023. I had made $68,000 and I was like, “My goal for this year is to make it to six figures.” She was like, “That's done.” I'm like, “What are you talking about? How? Can I see what you are seeing because I don't see it?” She was like, “You have made $68,000 in 6 months.” I'm like, “In business, you don't have a consistent inflow of things all the time. How is that going to be done?”

She has this unwavering faith and belief in myself, which influenced me in amazing ways to do the same. I was like, “That's done.” In the process of hiring a coach who has gone through what I wanted to go through, which is creating, she has a multi-six figures business, I also started getting surrounded by people who had a six-figure business for years. I got so much data from these people that it was possible that in my mind, I didn't have the minimum doubt that I was going to make it to six figures in 2023 because that started to become the norm in my life.

The people that you surround yourself with are super mega important. I would love for you to look around you, reflect on your dreams, and start asking yourself, “Are the people that I'm surrounding myself with in alignment with those dreams?” That's a very big deal. Some people will be supporting you who are like, “I support you are doing this but I don't know how you are going to get there because I didn't know either.”

I'm talking, for example, my husband. He's my biggest supporter. He works in consulting in corporate. He doesn't know how someone creates a six-figure business. Even though he believes in me, within himself, he is like, “How are you going to get there? I have no idea.” He is highly analytical. He hasn't sold much in his life, to be honest with you, because he has been working in corporate, which is normal. Within my nucleus of people, I needed to believe in myself many times more than what others believed in me.

Even though you want to surround yourself with people who believe in you, there are times that you are going to be faced with people who believe in you but are like, “I don't know how you are going to get there,” or that they don't believe in you. You have a little bit of all of the levels of belief. It is important in those moments that you are the most congruent person in the room because the most congruent person in the room always influences the rest, I'm telling you. It’s super important.

The last thing I want to mention is something that I started doing. I started listening to advice from people who had achieved the outcome. We all love talking and giving advice. Listen to advice from people who have done it mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. I covered so many lows and highs. The journey was challenging but very fulfilling. It was filled with faith and hope. That's why identity alignment is so important because faith and hope are important in this process.

The main thing to work on when we have ambitious goals and dreams is our mindset because that's the foundation. That's why I'm obsessed with self-mastery. You master yourself, life, and goals. Your mindset is a thing preventing you from following through with your goals. Many times, we have the information or strategy but we are not taking action. Why? It's your mindset and subconscious programming.

That's why when I coach my clients in one-on-one coaching, I start with the breakthrough session. We have to make sure that they start coaching with a clean slate and that they let go of all of those blind spots and limiting beliefs that are preventing them from leaving their truth and seeing their light. You can have all the strategy and information but if you don't have the mindset, you will not execute. That's why self-mastery or mastering yourself is the enabler to having a successful business, career in life, life, relationship, and anything.

Mastering yourself is an enabler to have a successful business, career, life, and relationship.
